For some reason, I have it in my head that Nintendo was very actively involved in the Nintendo Next Level Games projects; I also don't get the impression that that's going to slacken much for Federation Force.

Although if you want to be a complete contrarian pedant it's hard to say Nintendo isn't super-involved with all of Monolith's stuff too, seeing as how Monolith is an internal Nintendo first-party developer... But their post-acquisition experience does appear to contradict JRPGFan's fears, at least.

Also, next year we're getting Fates, Final, Bravely Second, and Z on the 3DS, as well as #FE on the Wii U. All I need is DQ8 localized next year, and 2016 will be the best year for JRPGs on Nintendo platforms in the west since I don't know when. Like SNES era? Too bad XCX isn't a 2016 title, just for list purposes.

I'm kidding on that last part.

They are releasing three major games I care about next year in SMT4F, #FE, and P5. Let's hope they're all good. For my sake. I can't take another MGSV-level let down from another franchise I just got into this year. My heart can't take it.

It was a disappointment as soon as I heard the jpop. But it's okay, because it's not really SMT.

I'm confident they'll all be good.

Also, can I just point out that next year will be the first time that not only individual Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei games are releasing, but also a crossover between the two? The likelihood of this ever happening again is pretty small, so it's quite an occasion!

Trauma Center would have been fantastic as a launch title, due to its potetial use of the gamepad. However, if I had to choose between SMTxFE and a Trauma Center game, i would choose SMTxFE.
