I suggest you check again

It says right there 'price cut'. Surely if it was related to the $50 gift card it would say that and not 'price drop'?

Nope, it's a gift card.

Source: I work at Target.

P.S. Just read there little blurp at the bottom of the video games page, it's pretty odd for a retailer website.

Want to play a video game? Yay! You pick which one. Oh…you want Pong? Well, that was really cool back in 1972, but the gaming industry's actually made some advances in the last 40 years. Seriously, you should see all the great video games that Target carries these days. You'll find Xbox gamesPS3 games and Nintendo Wii games in a genre for every mood: there's action, adventure, dance, family, fighting, music, racing and sports—along with the hottest new releases and pre-order titles. And there are even portable consoles now likePSP (short for PlayStation Portable), so gamers can take their fun anywhere. And the traditional consoles have advanced so much that they can work with sensors now to see your motion, so you don't even need controllers anymore. (Controllers are updated joysticks, just in case you were wondering). If you're on an Xbox 360 and you get the Kinect Sensor, you can play up to 6 feet away. Or working with the PlayStation 3 console (also known as PS3), the PlayStation Eye Camera sees you from 3–10 feet away—those games are called PlayStation Move. Or maybe you want to get a move on with that PlayStation 4 (also known as PS4) or Xbox One everyone's been talking about. On the Nintendo Wii U the sensor is built in, so you don't need a separate accessory for that one. And here's something else about those consoles: They all stream video and even Netflix. But yes, Pong was very cool.

So why does one say $399 + $50 Gift card and the other say $349 price drop (with no mention of a gift card)? I'd call that fakse advertising if what you say is true.

The PS5 Exists.

I assume that page updated early. The reason I say that is the it's the NDC PS4 that they are advertising at $349 but if you follow the link it shows $399 without a giftcard. (it's also unavailable obviously).

So if anything I'd say that this means a price drop (at least from Target) is imminent.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I think its a pricecut

Maybe a price cut is coming next week or so and target website showed it too early.

Sony will probably officially announce it this week or next but it has to be very very soon.

It just feels like it'll be any day now.

If it is a price cut for the US then all I can say is good luck MS... your badly priced bundled are not going to do you much favours.

I dont think so. I guess you haven't seen all those ps4 bundles under $400? You act like the ps4 has always been at $400 all this time. I have seen plenty of ps4 bundles at $380, $350 and under.

Where are these cheap ps4 bundles you've seen? The only ones I've seen selling ps4 that low are usually used or third party resellers on Amazon selling them used. All the big shops still sell them new at $399.

A limited retailer promotion doesn't constitute as a price cut if that's what you're trying to say.

Funny how on the xbox those count.

Have you missed the gamespots deals articles? I see them every week and they always list a ps4 for under $400 and they are not used.

Not sure what you're trying to say. Xbox MSRP has been $349 for nearly a year now when Microsoft cut the price near the holidays. PS4's MSRP has been $399 since launch, aside from limited promotions for both consoles from various retailers.

Just wanted to point that out since xbox gets attacked and some users here say xbox has had a lot of price cuts when it's only had 1.
