Nah I wouldn't go that far.

Bet?

I would gladly take this bet.

I'm always ok for easy win, even if it's cheap.

on vgChartz if you make a poll where its PS vs Xbox. PS will win no matter how ridiculous the question is. "will no man's sky sell more on ps4 than halo5 on xbo" PS4 wins. "will uncharted bundle OR uncharted 4 sell more than halo 5 lifetime" PS4 wins.
This site is incredible biased.

Anyways, what games at TGS got people hyped for PS4's future? I can't think of any honestly unless you mean games already showcased, and even then.

That's not what I'm seeing at all amongst PS4 owners on this site. I hate it when the community gets mirepresented like this.

There's only two relevant factors here: Halo 5 and the likely impending PS4 price cut.

In all likelihood, the PS4 will get a price cut at PGW. Assuming this happens the first day (Oct. 28), the PS4 will have 4 days in October to benefit from the price cut, while the XBO will have 5 days to benefit from Halo 5 (hm... 4 days for the PS4, 5 days for Halo 5; coincidence or conspiracy?).

It's all going to come down to which provides the biggest boost. Halo 3 did provide a decent boost for the 360, and we can reasonably assume that if the XBO gets a similar boost from Halo 5 it could sell on the order of 350k. However, Halo 3 was hyped to the moon and back. It was by far the biggest new game of 2007 in the U.S. But price cuts can result in huge boosts themselves. If the PS4 gets a $100 price cut in the U.S. and it gets a similar boost to what the PS2 got from its first price cut, we could potentially see well over 400k units sold in October. But even a $50 reduction could provide a big enough boost to push the PS4 ahead of the XBO.

Basically, this is all going to come down to the last week of the month and what Sony does at PGW.

You also have to factor in what Sony announce at PGW. If those announcements are compelling and they come within 3 to 4 months of the announcement, that alone could push PS4 sales.

The PS5 Exists.

It might have a chance albeit a slim one though i wouldn't bet on it. It will depend on PGW, if they cut the price then it might. But if xb1 ever win october it wont be as big as other thought it would be.

Last year the XB1 closed the gap (in the US) by I believe 700k and I have do doubt whatsoever that it's not going to close the gap by that much this year.

Just do not see a price cut when their bundle prices like CoD for $450 were already released.

Like I said before, halo always move a lot of systems, question should be whether it will be enough which IMO, hard to say.
