What store? Is he including Halo LE pre-orders?
I'm inclined to go with Amazon rankings for now as that is a nation-wide "poll". Amazon is hopeless for giving us a prediction of where the Halo 5 LE is sitting because it's sales have been sprad out over a few months during the pre-order period. So Amazon is only any good for skus that are actually being shipped without pre-orders influencing sales numbers for the month.
Not really sure what the buying pattern is leading up to the first release of the generation of the only exclusive mega-franchise on Xbox. We only have one reference point, being Halo 3. But that gives us an interesting sales pattern. DFor the two weeks leading up to Halo 3 launch Xb one incresed week on week by 17%, and then on Halo 3 release week it increased 19% and then the week after it increased 6%. It's quite possible Halo 5 is having the same effect, for a couple of weeks before the game launches sales increase, and the actual spike on the week of release is not as big as people generally expect because a lot of people have pre-bought their console. OTOH with the LE edition, a lot of the pre-buys are actually pre-orders which will ship and count as sales on the week of the 20th, so perhaps the week prior won't see much of an increase and the spike will just be for the week of the 20th and the week of the 27th.
Unless there is a major difference between online and retail buyig patterns it would appear that the latter senario is more likely, with baseline sales of Xb one happening leading into the week that the Halo 5 LE ships.
UC collection is pretty high on the charts. I would be very impressed if it cracked the NPD top 10, it might have a chance.
