Destiny and TLOUR bundle still ahead of Halo bundle. When do you think will Halo bundle gain traction? All I see is its hovering between 60-80 position.

I'm gonna go ahead and change my previous thought; ps4 price cut will happen on the 9th, not on PGW. And the two 450 November bundles will go down to 400
My main doubt is whether BF will give us an even lower price for two days (329 or 300, non-LE bundles) or if they keep the 350 and just add games/value like last year

I still don't believe there will be a price cut.Maybe just retailer gift card deals for $50 like Target, but not from Sony.

In fact all their bundles are overpriced to increase the perception on value when they inevitable cut they price.

MS know exactly what they want to achieve, they just don't always pull it off.

Oh my,  that's quite a theory you've got there! So MS is purposely overpricing their bundles now so as to "increase the perception of value" when they cut the price later?   M'kay, that sounds reasonable  O.o

I can just imagine how that master plan went down at Microsoft HQ...

Microsoft CFO: "We've really got to increase sales for the remainder of the year. Let's set a competive price right now and then we can lower the price on Black Friday like everyone else does."

Phil Spencer:" No!"...... (whips off his glasses and turns dramatically to glare into the camera). That's EXACTLY what they're EXPECTING us to do!

^LOL

None of the X1 bundles are in the top of the best selling list for the X1 section like the Destiny bundle is for the PS4 section.

Some guy on gaf says X1 is outselling PS4 3 or 4:1 at his store. He is bish checked. Could be signifcant, might not be, can't say I have heard of the store before.

What store? Is he including Halo LE pre-orders?

I'm inclined to go with Amazon rankings for now as that is a nation-wide "poll". Amazon is hopeless for giving us a prediction of where the Halo 5 LE is sitting because it's sales have been sprad out over a few months during the pre-order period. So Amazon is only any good for skus that are actually being shipped without pre-orders influencing sales numbers for the month.

Not really sure what the buying pattern is leading up to the first release of the generation of the only exclusive mega-franchise on Xbox. We only have one reference point, being Halo 3. But that gives us an interesting sales pattern. DFor the two weeks leading up to Halo 3 launch Xb one incresed week on week by 17%, and then on Halo 3 release week it increased 19% and then the week after it increased 6%. It's quite possible Halo 5 is having the same effect, for a couple of weeks before the game launches sales increase, and the actual spike on the week of release is not as big as people generally expect because a lot of people have pre-bought their console. OTOH with the LE edition, a lot of the pre-buys are actually pre-orders which will ship and count as sales on the week of the 20th, so perhaps the week prior won't see much of an increase and the spike will just be for the week of the 20th and the week of the 27th.

Unless there is a major difference between online and retail buyig patterns it would appear that the latter senario is more likely, with baseline sales of Xb one happening leading into the week that the Halo 5 LE ships.

UC collection is pretty high on the charts. I would be very impressed if it cracked the NPD top 10, it might have a chance.

I think most Halo fans have bought the console which makes sense since there is no other reason to buy an X1 on a mainstream scale.Halo 3 benefitted from no competition and games like Bioshock,COD and Mass Effect.Halo 5 doe snot have those advantages so it will not boost the console sales like Halo 3 did.if the console is limied and pre orders have been high then it should have sold out like the Batman lmtd bundle did,but it has not and left the top 100 after it was put of for pre order.I expect an obvious sales increase, but not enough to stop the PS4 dominance after seeing the Destony bundle sitting strong in the tp 15.
