We can look at halo 3 which sold a lot on a 15million userbase.

It was approx 11 million when halo 3 came out.

VGC's estimates appear more in line with what Jason is quoting, unless the 360 sold 5M units in the final 3 months of 2007...

Well if we use that logic super smash bros for wii u hould have sold 1.2 million.

Can you please clarify? I'm not entirely sure of what/how you're referencing.

Your saying that the game will sellless on the x1 . So you said around 10% like halo 4 did. Im saying if we use that logic smash for wii u would have sold only 1.2 million.

Official numbers are here for 2007 360 hardware totals and if you scroll down, it shows Microsoft was only in the 10-11 million range at the end of 07. 9 million when halo actually came out.

So halo 3 selling 3.3 million in 12 days back then was very impressive.

When you consider there are only 2PS4 sku in the chart affecting this month's sales and there are 4 xb one skus, 3 ahead of destiny PS4, it is quite plausible to believe xb one is selling ahead of PS4.

When the Monthy chart comes out for the end of the month I am still pretty confident that Halo 5 bundle will be the top hardware. It was significantly higher in the chart than NDC just before both skus jumped up the charts, so even though it is ahead now in the hourlies it has a deficit to overcome, which I don't think it will.

Microsoft is offering a free game with their array of bundles now. It seems that they are getting very aggressive in this final week.
I am still predicting the Halo 5 bundle to get another small boost tomorrow. Halo 5 Reviews are also up tomorrow so this could give a boost as well.

Firstly, I did not say that, but I did note that is what trends indicate. Secondly, Halo series trends on XBox consoles are not the same as Smash Bros. series trends on Nintendo consoles. I don't know whay you would arbitrarily slap a random Halo game's attach rate on a random Smash game and append the word "logic." My logic is exclusive to the console and series that we've been discussing, so let's please stay within the relavant context.

As I said earlier, as console userbase increased (X360), Halo attach rates decreased (H3, H:R, and H4). X1 has a vastly smaller userbase than the X360 did, when the last Halo launched with a significantly diminished userbase, so it stands to reason that H5's sales would scale down with some measure of proportionality. That's my logic, and I already stated the reasons why trend may not be directly proportional and some reversal may actually be observed.

VGC lists LTD X360 sales at Y2007 at 15.9M: http://www.vgchartz.com/yearly/2007/Global/

I'm not sure what the root of the discrepancy is, but, if the wiki is accurate, it portrays a more foreboding trend for H5's prospects.

Well if we use trends the first halo on ech consoles tend to sell really well during its first few months of sale.

Also gear moved up to 77 and Madden in the top 100 in the hours.

2 halos in the top 10. #1 and #8
