Yes, but they had a lot of the material done already, and the game doesn't push the hardware at all. A Nintendo Amiiverse would be big enough to absorb (almost) all Amiibos made. Also, there's price: Disney Infinity is one of the most expensive games to date, I assume a Nintendo Amiiverse would take just as many resources.

Well they need to invest in order to sell. One of the problems this gen is Nintendo being cheap. They have money and they need to avoid another disaster gen.

True. I just wonder if the investment on that kind of project would be worth it, specially with everyone buying the Amiibos in droves already.

Well, they can use the game to re-release old amiibos.

I wouldn't buy any console at launch... :/

But if this party game is more like Skylanders or Disney Infinity, rather than AC: Amiibo Festival, then I'd be interested in the game

That's what I always thought they would do when I saw the amiibos for the first time . It would be awesome and I would buy a lot of amiibos which is not that good for my wallet.

Also, I answered Tingle and I regret nothing! XD
It was a lot of fun playing as him in Hyrule Warriors, but from the 175h I played the game almost 145 must be with Link.

There are way too many amiibos. I tend to stay away from the little buggers. I also don't like the idea of a "free-to-play" game. I definitely wouldn't play this game.
