Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Seattle Sounders FC sponsor Xbox to add promotional "Halo 5" to tops

I don't know the MLS well, is that team good and/or popular? :)

Seattle is among the best teams in the league in recent years, even if MLS Cup has eluded them.  They are very popular averaging 40K at home matches, for reference the league average this year is 20-21K range.  This is a big match against Los Angeles so I estimate around 60-65K will be in attendance.

Thanks! So a nice ad for Halo ^^.

(For Sony, you can google "Olympique lyonnais God of War", you might understand why I'm not sure about its usefulness...)

well not the worst promotion i have seen. but who watches low class football without history?

Have to have some love for lower class leagues with so many one team leagues like Bundesliga around.

Wow, that looks really cool.Nice and original way to promote a new game!

Just for information (not a critic or anything ^^), it has been done before by Sony in France for PS3 games like God of War. Not sure if that was really useful though...

Oh, didnt know.Still, its not every day you see this.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Indeed.  They are aided by having a huge stadium, but it is amazing how many people regularly show up in Seattle.  The good news for the league is many clubs in stadiums of 15-25K range are now seeing sell outs often so debate of expanding stadiums exists.

Right now average attendence in 2015

1. Seattle - 42.7K
2. Orlando - 31.9K
3. New York City - 28.6K
4. Toronto - 24.2K
5. Los Angeles - 22.9K

Keep in mind as I said many club sell out (ex: Kansas City and Portland) their 17-20K stadiums so impossible for them to be in top five.

Check this out.

Soccer is more popular in the US than people realize, as our raw numbers are quite good. The stigma exists because of the NFL and that there's 320 million people living here....

I really like these jerseys but it is odd seeing XBOX and Halo 5 on a teams jersey. Makes me think they are like a Microsoft football team or something
