mgs 4 focused too much on vehicles, which was a turn off

You hated the boss fight with the boss? You are the first person I know who hated it.

Probably still MGS3: Subsistence.

Snake Eater was broken to me with the locked camera angles; it essentially required level memorization and patterns, which was a no-no in game design to me by the 6th generation of hardware. Given that Snake Eater has not been republished/re-released post Subsistence seems to be an acknowledgement of that opinion.

But story, pacing, impact, character development, Metal Gear universe development, etc. were all on the mark.

I Played all games from the Solid series and Metal Gear Rising, my favorite is the Metal Gear solid 4, besides being the last of the franchise solid is the most intense of all , the most heroic , the most EPIC of all, Sure in my opinion.

I'm also in the minority of players who really enjoyed Twin Snakes, even though a large chunk of that had to do with the updated 6th gen visuals and gameplay.
