Does MS Store have a good amount of sales?

Do prices drop similar to retail? i.e. Can I get a game that was $60 a month or so later for like $45?

I dont have one yet but when my friend lend me his i found out they had deals with gold when games are like 30-75% off.

The standard digital prices suck! they are basically full retail price. However the games with gold sales and free games each month provide enough value to be all digital. I haven all digital since release, only purchased maybe 3 games at full retail, the rest have been free or on sale, sales are generally between 30-75% off as mentioned.

Generally speaking, the most common sales (outside of MS) are on EA, 2K, and Ubisoft games. Those are frequently 20-40% off. Of course in the case of EA you also have EA Access, which is a must own if you play a good amount of their games. Indies are also on sale all the time. Everything else usually takes a bit longer to go on sale I find, unless it's something with a season pass or other DLC, in which case they'll often mark that game down in the hopes of making a buck on you off said DLC later. Generally speaking though, digital prices on console never drop as quickly as retail (especially if you take used games into consideration).

If you do go all digital, and you have a friend/family member with another console who does the same, make sure you use the home console feature to share libraries. You'll only ever have to buy games you both want once, even if you wanna play it online simultaneously.
