A lot of games. I can't name them all. But ones that come off my head. Ducktales. The whole reason I bought the remake. I have the real NES copy of the game. I had no interest of the remake, when it was first talked about. Till I saw it was to match the cartoon 100%, with voices. Bought it. No questions.

Mass Effect. Jennifer Hale. She was always voicing someone, somewhere in a cartoon, as a grew up. Spider-Woman 2, Jean Grey(s), Kat Nappy etc. She is also Samus. Which, till this day. I don't get why they hired that girl, in Other M. Hale voices teenagers all the freaking time. I hate Male Sheps voice. And one reason why I ignored the series, at first.

Kyle Katarn from Dark Forces was voiced by Jeff Bennett, in the last two games. Bought that game series because I loved his work, as Brooklyn, on Gargoyles. Not to metion generic roles across tons of shows. Like Robot Chicken, Courage the Cowardly dog, Clay in Xaiolin showdown. You name it.

I gave the Batman Arkham game a chance because of the Batman TAS cast. It basically said. This game ain't cash in shit. If they get these actors on board.

Nolan North and Claudia Black made me buy and love Uncharted.

John DImagio. Made me try out Gears Of War. You can't go wrong with Bender.

The Transformers games that use anyone from the shows. I don't care if it's G1, Prime, Beast Wars etc. It's based of said show, and has the voices. I buy it. If it doesn't have the voices. That usually means, it's bullshit. I'm still hoping someone makes a Transformers game that crosses over all the series.

I never buy the Spider-Man games. But I got Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions. Because Toby voiced Parker in 2. And they got all the Spider-Man's from all the past cartoons.

I will gladly buy Disney infinity. Once they care about the the 80's-90's cartoons. And get the voice actors on board.

Wouldn't went near Kingdom Hearts. If they didn't get Jim Cummings on board. Who does a ton of Disney characters. Or Bill Farmer. Who does Goofy.

I'd actually give a new Sonic game a chance. If Jeleel White would do it.

That anniversary Power Ranger game. Completly passed on that. They didn't bother to get the actors.

I only bothered to look at these two bad games: Aliens: Coloneal Marines, and Star Trek. Because of the voices. Star Trek was a total piece of broken shit. Thank god I got it for 5$. And Aliens CM. Whoever fixed the game, later on. Did a miracle.

If a voice actor is replaced. Weather it's based of a show/movie. Or replaced from a previous game series. Unless the person outright said no, or was dead. I usually won't give a chance, till when it's on sale. Or sometimes at all. Resident Evil boarders on this. I get pissed every time someone gets dropped. I don't use Rebeeca or Billy in any game that features them. Because I only want to hear the RE0 voices.

I would play them anyway but I really love how they tried to retrieve as many original voices from Disney movies in the Kingdom Hearts games.

Nope, never.

prinny because i liked the voice acting, without it the game does not feel complete, like prinny 2

I don't even know the name of any voice actor, so no. There's no game I would or wouldn't buy because of that.

No, not really. I pretty much only knoe the name of two video game voice actors.

Send a Friend Request On PSN :P

Madworlds voice actors helped sell me on it. Gregg proops and bender commentating as I mess things up. Was hard to say no. But they were just the icing really, not the main reason.
Other than that, nope never.

No, never. But, then again, there are quite a few games that really benefited from great acting (Mark Hamill's Joker comes to mind).

Nope

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

No. As you said, certain VAs being involve can often influence my anticipation of a game quite positively if someone I really like is working on it, but I'd never pass on a game based on it. And therein lies the problem for these actors and their strike. No matter how much we like and appreciate some of their efforts, in the end, they're replaceable.
