We hear this before every new generation. It has never been right. Ppl like playing on consoles its a cultural thing.

Sorry I was wrong on the 35M... it is 20M... 35 was goodnightmoon prediction of WiiU reviving

Don't like PS but this was a great comment by Sony. This is exactly what I think, I have been hearing the same shit forever, however I'm 33 years old.

There will be a Playstation 5. I'm not sure if there will be a Playstation 6 though (or any MS/Nintendo equivalent).

By then streaming services (like Sony's own PS Now) and mobile devices that are mega-powerful could just stream graphics to any TV/display.

Well I would say Pachter is 50% right based on what Shu has said. Sony has given up on making mobile platforms, so that market went from 80M to 15 -20M to 0. On the other hand, PlayStation 4 should see its sales surpase that of the PS2.

By the end of this generation people will have drastically different view about PlayStation and Xbox. PS4 and XBO will end up above 400M units in the end, and the next gen will grow on top of that. These are not gaming devices anymore, they are PC's for the TV, they are Pay TV Boxes, they are the digital hub of the modern home.



Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. People change their predictions every time..... Not so long ago maybe less than a year their were some that expected that Wii U could beat Xbox one. A lot in this forum also expected that mobile gaming will hardly damage handhelds. And I agree the number of Xbox one in his prediction is high I still find it hard to fight it because he use the logic 'Oh Xbox one sold more in the same time as Xbox 360 so Xbox one will sell more'

I would say it will back to his normal size i mean by that the 6th gen,Wii u will sell near to gamecube and ps4+xbone near to Xbox and PS2



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m
