I can understand not wanting to get burned twice after Kinect. However if VR does change gaming, then they are left high and dry without a paddle. I expect to see half a dozen astro turfers in every VR thread taking a dump on it in the same way they did with Blueray, and we all know how that one worked out.

It has been pure embarrassment to listen to my Xbox friends go from laughing at VR and 40 year old virgins, with no life being the demographic. Then talking about all getting Occulus, when they thought it would actually work with XB1, back to hating VR now it is clear it won't. Same goes on a lot of forums, going the same direction in thought. VR will be the next evolution of gaming, and I have no doubt Microsoft will enter the VR market in a couple of years, and half the naysayers will suddenly be telling us it is the second coming.

No doubt they'll include it in the next Halo game then. Spencer LOVES the idea of people playing together on a couch. LIVE was always all about that.

Is he serious here? Gaming has been moving away from the whole playing/enjoying games together with other people that are physically in the same place for years now and Xbox has been on the forefront of that movement with Xbox Live.

Regarding on VR, I'm not sold on it (then again I haven't tried it) but I know people that are highly anticipating that stuff, we'll see how it goes. I think it's a huge question of price.

Just the Waifu simulators like DOAX3 and Summer lesson will be enough to keep the market alive.

i am not ashamed to say that is the biggest reason i'm considering getting psvr.    xD

 

either way i'm going to be late to show.  like with ps4 i'm waiting a minimum of 6 months to see how the market plays out before investing my money.  but summer lesson would be one of my first purchases for sure.

I hope it becomes part of it. just like fight stick for fighting games, mega drive for racing games and VR for On rail shooters i guess...

Well with OR PC streaming you can play together on a virtual couch!

Maybe Phil likes the setup in "Her" better, Illumiroom esque with Kinect and Cortana to fall in love with.

I kinda have to agree with him. VR mustn't be something that defines how every game in the future should be or how it should play. I wouldn't mind for it to be a complement, since VR running amok as the only way to play a game can't be good for the industry.
