I am waiting for a price drop.I enjoyed the demo and the game makes for a nice change of pace.

What kills Disgaea for me is the endless grinding. Its good but they base everything on you grinding for hours and hours on end wich kills the enjoyment.

Usually the main story doesn't require grinding though (you may need to go for the "side quests" (item world and such) for some xp but using these for the first time is more exploration than actual grinding).

Grinding is mainly for the optional 100% completion.

Isn't it like a strategy card RPG or something? Tried a demo one time and it def wasn't my type of game.

It's an SRPG. Like your standard JRPG, just with less exploration in the world, and more exploration in battlefields as you move characters around on grids to use their various skills and abilities from your beautiful menus. Disgaea can really mix things up from what I've read and a bit of what I've experienced, but the standard SRPG formula is there.

Nope.
It's a SJRPG, but no card stuff.

It's Final Fantasy Tatics-like, with anime style characters, twisted humor (you have the perspective of a demon, so evil is good, good is bad :P), and it has a HUGE ammount of content.

People say it's grind based, but only if you want to do and get all the stuff, the main stories are generally not hard or very long, but it can eat a huge ammount of time to hardcore players. It can easily clocks over 300 hours per game if you want.

Hmm. I'll check out this demo then. I might like it. thanks

No idea the game was out.

It isn't. It doesn't actually come out for about two more weeks. It's why people are a little bit surprised, seeing as game embargos for games anybody actually know about tend to lift at most a week prior, generally closer to a few days before.

Looking pretty good, there's a demo for this on the PS store, right?
