There are a ton of good levels on Super Mario Maker, they are a minority for obvious reasons but if you want to find them is pretty easy, go to the most starred levels on local, on regional, weekly and soon monthly, go to the most starred creators too, look the levels they have done,  look what levels are starring the people with a similar criteria than yours, and you find a whole lot of gems and a lot of good ideas to make your own levels.

Unlike on Little big planet, on SMM the creation process is actually very fun, the gameplay feels actually good and most of the levels try to be Mario levels instead of just gimped versions of better games.

Nope. I've seen a lot of stages with stars that are idiotic, unfair or automated. The hidden gems are mostly ignored.

I´m not saying that the most starred levels are the best, but there are a lot easy to find gems there, I personally find more usefull to look for good creators instead of good single levels, I have found a lot of people that do good levels, you can follow them and see what levels they have uploaded easily.

Doesnt look fun.
Looks challengeing and if thats all you want in a mario level, than that level was ment for you.

But yeah I thought, it looked boreing and to hard to be enjoyable in any sense.

Maybe you should recommend me some, because I found some pretty absurd. There was one terrible that made me gave up on the hard mode of the 100 Marios challenge.

it isnt hard to make a level hard with complexity, and honestly i really fail to see whats so exciting about mario maker stages.
I watch ops video and i just think "meh, i'd have got bored by the third try and switched to a fun game"

From what i've seen mario maker suffers the same problem LBP did, a festoon of shitty levels and the occasional gem amongst the dung, the only difference is it was easier to find good levels in LBP, and the creativity on display of the better levels was on a whole other level, too.

And yet there still filled with crap, even starred as other users have pointed out.

@bold - yes, kind of the only option since the editor isnt as freeform. see - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxkTFBzWOws

I have found the most amount of good levels on Normal mode. While there are a lot of bland levels on Mario Challenge you can skip them really quickly just sliding with your finger on the screen and even when a level is not good it doesn´t mean is automatically terrible, i´ve seen a lot of good concepts that fail in few things that ruin the level but you can easily take those ideas to your levels, and I enjoy that.

Sure i can recomend you some creators, but I can´t look their ID right know, one easy to find pick would be Andre from Gamexplain, I´ve seen better but his levels are usually well thinked , he is on the top 50, Boogie has some very enjoyable levels too, he is there too, and a lot of people whose names I don´t remember but I really encorage you to find more good creators instead of levels, you will find more good levels at the end.

I have already found more than 60 good levels, so more levels than Mario usually has, and I find more everyday.

Bolded - Thanks God for that.

Hmm, I'll pass.

Impressive as no way I'd have patience to beat that level.

Heaven forbid people be allowed to express their creativity freely in a "maker" title.
