Forums - Nintendo - Mario tennis: Ultra Smash to be priced at $40!

Makes me wonder about the amount of content, hopefully its not too bare.

Haven't played a Mario Tennis game since the N64, so depending on how this turns out I might just pick it up :)

It was pretty obvious that this was a 'budget' game but I'm glad it's not sold at standard full retail price

That said, I won't be getting this game :p

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

Well I was 100% sure it was going to be priced like that on Europe mostly because the 3 new games I bought this year were about 32 - 40$ here(Splatoon, Yoshi, SMM) and they were awesome, while this one looks kind of average, but I would be glad to see they are doing this in NA too. I really hope this game has something new that they haven´t show yet and surprise us a bit and also a good amount of content, i´m not very interested but Mario Tennis are usually decent and WiiU has almost no sport games, so they should try to make it at least the most complete of all them Mario Tennis games.

well.. how much content can there really be in a tennis game? at this point in VG history, you should really be getting more out of a 60 dollar purchase than just "a tennis game," so the pricing at 40 makes sense. although, i could see them going all out with a single player mode, multiplayer, online, things to unlock, and all kinds of other things to jam pack the game with content that would make it worth 60..

damn. i guess it really is just going to be a bare bones effortless release. -_- nintendo does that sometimes.

I hope there will be a RPG mode like some of the old Mario Tennis.

But like with most Nintendo games it will likely still be that same price 5 years after release. I prefer a higher launch price and a bigger price cut within a year.

what the hell?!?  what's wrong with tennis,.. i demand an asnwer!  tennis is just as good genre as any other.

Good to know, I wonder if it'll have online at such a price, and if it does what else can the game offer

Cool, I guess.

Still not interested.

(And I hate that name so much...)

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

tennis is great but.. 60 dollars? lol.

its like tetris. i love tetris, but if they released a brand new retail release of tetris, it better have some crazy ass additions to it before it can be considered a 60 dollar release.
