So Neptunia, Godzilla and Onechanmbara are good games?

They are better than most western indie games

The only problem.is that those are not indie games, so it's not really a fair comparison. But I still doubt there are many indie games worse than Godzilla.

You've answered your own question. It's not coming to the Xbox One so it doesn't interest them.  Just an excuse they have to make up on why it doesn't interest them.

Tales of Vesperia was always brought up last gen, but now Tales of Zestieria is just a niche Japanese game.that no one cares about. It's definitely a niche series, but iit was often praised on forums and now that the game isn't on their system it doesn't matter.

Everyone knows why they're not interested and it's not because the games are niche indie games.

Just because it was "praised" doesn't mean they thought it wasn't niche...

"It's definitely a niche series."

You just happened to miss me calling the series niche in the very sentence the word you were quoted was included.  I know ignoring information helps getting your point across, but there's quotes, so yeah.  I can always point it out like I did just now.

You do realize that there are more categories than just AAA and indie?

Everything I've played this gen has come out of Japan, and I like most the games I played.

So...does that mean I'm an outlier?

Hell even Microsoft themselves were proud to be getting all the famous PlayStation Japanese franchises on their platform. Xbox fans were throwing it in PS fans faces and laughing how all of previously PS exclusive games were now also coming to 360.

Microsoft is just a mafia that happy to see Playstation fan loose their exclusivity and Home ground support, With this generation they will trash and downplay Japanese games like a garbage because they know they loosing the support lol.

The PS4 has been getting real Japanese games, I think the PS3/360 era ruined Japanese gaming in the sense that there weren't many real Japanese games and by that I mean games similar too the ones from the PS2 era. PS3 mostly had the Neptunia games etc, the very otaku aimed games that most people didn't care for. And I know there are people here that enjoy those games but most don't. Most of the good Japanese games started too die out around the middle of the PS3/360 era.

I feel the same way, Japanese games seem to be making a comeback on the PS4. SE got their head out their ass.

If only they would make a new Chrono game! They are working on Star Ocean, an offline console Dragon Quest game and Kingdom Hearts, so why not Chrono as well?!

I find Japanese games are generally much more traditional. If you were console gaming in the late 90s this was pretty much what the best of videogames had to offer.

There has been a huge influx of more modern gamers particularly in the 7th gen who were more drawn across from the boom of western style gaming moving across from PC.

Prior to the 7th gen, barring the odd major title, those games were the bread and butter of the PC market.

So I do t think it's snobbery per se, just that to many now playing on consoles, the Japanese developed games do feel different to them.
