Well not to be that guy....but your point was still incorrect....you said last Gen NIN sold more consoles than the PS1 and PS2 combined....which was still incorrect. But I did get the point you were making though....and also  I again hate to be that buy but AEGRo is also incorrect...Sony has NEVER destroyed NIN on the profits front so they have not destroyed NIN in every point of view. So how about you both just say you were wrong and let this argument go.

The term englobes any device whose main purpose is to play videogames.

Oh no they are not consoles, they are not machines made with the only purpose to display and sell videogames, not at all.

I said the same amount, and the difference between 261m and 256m is less than a 3%, so that´s considered the same, as the data is not 100% accurate and has error margin.

If you want, make a thread with a poll to see how many people considers handheld as consoles direct competitors.

Two different worlds that should be compared with their direct competitors. Want to make a case of Nintendo handhelds? Mock wathever you want the PSP and Vita sales, but dont try to save the WiiU or whatever Nintendo console (home to make it clear for you) with the little brother in the 3DS.

A handheld is not even a thing, is an adjective, an adjective of how is that console, a handheld console, there are tons of things that are handheld but not consoles. It doesn´t matter if they compete with homeconsoles at all, they are made specifically for playing videogames,  they make the brand stay relevant on the market, they sell a lot of games, they make a ton of profit, they have been a really big part of the gaming industry for a very long time, they are consoles in all senses.
