8-12. Was a lot more on the PS1/PS2. PS3 came out when I was 16, which meant I only really got about 2 years out of it before I turned 18 and more of my money went on other things.

Now with my PS4 I have so little time for games that I can only really complete about 3 games a year.

I only buy games when they're on sale or clearance.... for Nintendo systems it comes to about 10-20 per console.

-On my Gamecube, it was like 10.  But I got that console for like $50 a couple years after it came out.

-On PS3...LOL if you include digital it is likely 50-100.

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

I get whatever the hell I fancy for a console :)

Even with the 3DS' limited library I have bought well over 50 games and Wii U about 20.

Normally it'll crack 3 figures for  a mainstream system. Even PS Vita I'm now at about 250 games. Would have more PS4 games that I currently do, but I'm putting them off due to the scarcity of many physical Vita releases now.

You manage to find Nintendo titles on clearance? Wow! Haha, many Wii U games are now commanding higher prices than they did a few months after release!

4-7. I was a poor child, and Nintendo games are expensive.

If PC counts, I've bought about three 8th gen games so far, and I expect I'll actually get past 7 by the end of the gen, provided a few more WRPGs are coming.
