Forums - Sony - How would you rate Gravity Rush? I'm planning on getting it when I get a PS4.

So yeah. I saw that they are making a 2nd one and also saw they are remastering the 1st and I thought it looked really interesting. So yeah, how would you rate it? Anything I should keep in mind before I buy it?

The Vita version of Gravity Rush was a solid 8.3/10, and although I'm not quite sure how every gameplay element will translate, I'm confident the game will be just as good on the PS4. Nothing really to keep in mind. It's just a good game.

Okay thanks! The only thing I've heard is that when you start the controls basically make you think "What the fu** am I doing" but then it gets really fluid later on.

It has great potential, but in the end(for me) it was a great dissapointment. They did have great gameplays ideas, but didnt quite deliver it.Not to say that is horrible, its quite good actually, but you can easily lose track of enemies or the objective you are after because of the gravity mechanics. It just wasnt too well implemented. But the most dissapointing part is the story. It is underdeveloped and messy.Characters, with the exception of Kat and Raven, are very underdeveloped and underused, some appearing only twice or 3 times, and being relativaly important to ther story. And the story itself is full of holes and things unexplained. You might say that they intended to explain them in the next game, but the point is that they just didnt deliver it.I personally would only recommend playing it if the second one turns up to be really good, just to pick up the story.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I LOVED the game man. It has its faults, but just like LuckyTrouble said, for me its a solid 8 out of 10.

Im really glad the game jumped to the Ps4. That franchise has so much potential imo. The main character and the world is so fresh, the core mechanics are fucking great manipulating the gravity.

One of my favorite Vita games.

Gravity Rush was by the best game on Vita for me. Kat, the main character, is my favorite female protagonist ever, and the story, the characters, the gameplay, and the entire open world in the game, are just phenomenal. You will not be sorry with that purchase. I'm planning on buying it again, I loved it so much. Can't wait for the sequel.

Honestly, my only gripe I remember having with the game was how the controls could sometimes be frustrating, but that was more on the fault of the Vita itself and not the game.

0331 Happiness is a belt-fed weapon

I'd say it was a solid 7.5.
It has some awesome ideas and concepts but sometimes lacked substance. Hopefully with it coming to PS4 they can tweak some minor issues I had with the Vita controls, Touch and Tilt isnt fun.
Im really hyped for Gravity Daze 2 though, I mean its not uncommon for the first game in a series to have some flaws that get worked out over sequels, and its being built for PS4 from the ground up this time.
Just a little worried it will go overlooked again and 2016 will be the last we see of Kat and Raven.

I realized recently I owned it and so I've been playing it the past 2-3 days. The moving the Vita to tilt gravity and shit is annoying as hell (imo), but after I got used to it it's an amazing game. I love the weird Japanese/French language they have going on. The art style and cel-shading is gorgeous, and the story is very interesting

This is my rating.

It is fun! Play it!

I'm buying it again so I can get a second platinum. Believe it! The remaster should have no "flaws" of what people are talking about.

Fun, charming game with an amazing art style and soundtrack. I wish the brawling and aerial combat had been a bit more refined though. One boss encounter in particular being insanely difficult and frustrating due to issues with the combat (and camera). Not sure if it was related to my frustrations, but I remember the game becoming a lot less fun after that and my interest rapidly declined to the point where I just stopped playing.

You should definitely try it though. A flawed but unique experience.
