Super Mario maker. I haven't played much of Splatoon, but it's telling that my kids, that were playing it daily, haven't touched it since I bought Mario maker. I've been playing Mario maker until 3 am since it came out. I'm tired, still itching to play more once the kids are in bed.

Is too soon to have a clear favorite with only one week playing SMM but more than 3 months playing Splatoon.

I would say Splatoon by now, is the most fresh and addictive game I´ve played in years. That said, Mario Maker is absolutely awesome and the feeling you get when you upload your creations and watch the feedback is really something else.

id definitely have to go with mario maker. splatoon is great,but ive been having a blast with mario maker

Still haven't actually gotten Mario Maker so I'm defaulting to Splatoon

I have no interest in Mario maker because you can't make an entire, linkable Mario game. It's just a bunch of random levels. So, for me, a Splatoon owner, it's Splatoon all the way. Mario Maker seems hollow by comparison.

I enjoy playing splatoon more than playing levels, but I enjoy making levels just as much as playing splatoon

try simple designs, it doesn't mean go for the super hardest like several levels i saw.  there are simple and easier levels that people would appreciate. 

OT: i'll gave a slight edge to SMM, replayability of trying to complete a level is insane, and how many levels are there. :D

i still love splatoon though, different perspective of a shooting game.
