And you told us the game was perfect and that certain weapons were just fine, right before the makers of the game tweaked all of it.

So I guess you and they were both wrong. Or, we at least know you were wrong. Those other people could be right for all we know.

No. I said the game was fine and it was.

Updates will always happen to Destiny... that is how a MMO model works... even the core/base game will change over the years.

New updates, balances, places, things to do, reworks, etc.. it will be like that for the 10 years plan... that is how the game feels always fresh and fun for old and new players.

I'm loving how the Destiny's hater are eating crow each new week.

If it were fine then they wouldn't have changed it. That's kind of how stuff works. Games don't just radically change their core mechanics just for the hell of it. And developers certainly don't dramatically alter the balance of weapons just for shits n giggles. So again, you were wrong, maybe they were wrong. Seems a lot of wrong with vanilla Destiny.

Every MMO-like game changes everything... Destiny is no exception.
That is what make them lives years and years.
They become new and fresh for old and new players.

Destiny vanilla was an amazing experience...
Destiny The Taken King is another amazing experience...

LOL no, actual real MMO's or even faux MMO's like Destiny do not overhaul the entire game just for the hell of it. What makes a game live for years and years is quality gameplay and a good loot system complimented by a balanced grind. Destiny has always had the first one in spades, now it apparently has the last two, but it sure as fuck didn't at launch. But hey I guess they changed it just out of boredom or something. LOL, why would they need to alter anything to make it "new and fresh" for NEW players? Jeebus, this is almost as good as you defending the Mythoclast as perfectly balanced.... right until Bungie finally did balance it. Oh but then it was perfect, lol.

People didn't like it, Bungie finally listened and changed it. Not sure why you'd fight that.

You know, I hate to burst your bubble here, but there were (and are) plenty of perfectly legitimate reasons to hate Destiny. A fact readily admited by pretty much every review of the Taken King when they tell you in one way or another "this is what we should have got right from the start." If it takes a developer 1 year post launch, and an additional $40 minimum just to "deliver on the original promise" then you have failed your community immensely, and it shouldn't shock anyone that a great many people might be put off by this.

If they had delivered on the vision they sold costumers from the get go and used that year just to make it that much better, nobody would complain. Well....almost nobody, somebody always complains. But using that extra year and charging you that money just to arrive at what should have been square 1 in the first place is rather deplorable.

I'm glad they fixed many of the broken elements from the first game. I am interested in buying it, but seeing how incredibly quick they devalued their own DLC for TTK makes me hesitate.

Not surprised to see there are more people online now than at launch. There are more consoles in the wild, word of mouth from Destiny 1, hype, etc.

But people told me here that players left the game after launch...

I left after launch.  There, supported.

After a few conversations with people here and some RL friends who have been playing Taken King I am now one of those who left after launch, and then went and got the expansion. Started up a new Hunter last night. Figure I may as well see what changes were made to vanilla while getting the last class based trophy I am missing.

Oh yeah, that came out didn't it? I give it a couple weeks until it dies again, unless Bungie released the Destiny I was hoping for last year this time around, then I give it a month or two.
