Maybe she feels unfairly treated but in reality she is not.good enough.

Sounds like MS is a crappy place to work at anyway. She should try something cooler like Google or Apple.

If anything being a female employee at MS should be free of discrimination. All the dudes are probably too in love with the code they write to notice/harass a woman

Honestly, people pretending like there's no discrimination at all in the west, and that make fun of any attempt to further equality in the west are just as annoying as those that claim there's discrimination everywhere and that make discrimination cases from everything. There's a balance, folks! The world isn't black and white! (This paragraph wasn't really intended at you in particular, just something I notice whenever feminism is discussed on the forum).

Sure. Like in the video game industry that has been accused to be sexist. So, why when we take a look at the indie developers there are not many women either? The SDK are too manly for their sentitivity? The truth is that technical IT is a field chosen mostly by men. What is the sex distribution in the IT and engineering fields in the Universities?

Never discriminate against sex... I never do, and have sex all time. Bad to discriminate sex. 😆

My guess is that better employees get better recognition and crappier ones don't. Likely has little to do with the sex of the party. Although if it does, then MS needs to change their ways.
It would be nice if all companies and departments rewarded hard work. There's always a double edged sword though, when they do, the crap people will always bitch about it.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

Yesterday my iPhone autocorrected "no" to "yes" when I was typing so I'm not sure why we aren't concerned about hipsters being brainwashed into sexual harassers.....

You do need mind reading if you're trying to argue that that is solely because of their gender though...

Solely? I didn't see anything about solely. Anyway, you might say that you can't really know that gender doesn't have anything at all to do with, but if it's a general trend across several thousand employees then it maybe it should ring a bell (I don't have any numbers or anything, just providing examples).

Honestly, people pretending like there's no discrimination at all in the west, and that make fun of any attempt to further equality in the west are just as annoying as those that claim there's discrimination everywhere and that make discrimination cases from everything. Well there's the whole innocent until proven guilty thing and so far I haven't seen a single shred of evidence that Microsoft base their promotions or pay structures on gender. So until that changes I'll just assume this is one of those cases where someone is just trying to make easy cash from some frivolous lawsuit which happens far too often these days.

Actually it's "Innocent til proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt". Big difference. BTW if you want a illustration of my second paragraph, just take a look at this thread, it's like you people don't even acknowledge that there's even the slightest possibilty of this lawsuit actually being based on reality.

BTW Kapi, I could make a company where I only ever hired men, regardless of how good the women applicants to the job was, and using your logic, that would be completely okay, because after all, how would you prove that it was the gender that made me hire the men instead of the women? It's like you think discrimination in the western world doesn't exist at all just because the situation is vastly better than before.
