You're selling a game on Ebay. That's nothing compared to what Gamestop does. They have a business because they buy back games from people to sell them 5 dollars less than the new game.

Nope, that's no different if I sold my used game for $55 on eBay.  They just turned that concept into a business. Nothing evil or wrong with that, at all.  But, if you'll enjoy celebrating when 18,000+ lose their jobs at Gamestop if they ever close their "evil" stores, just because they are a 2nd hand store like any other 2nd hand store, than you just go right ahead.

You mean the ones that Gamestop put out of business and cost people their jobs? Most 2nd hand stores only have a few locations. Not thousands.

Also, no one would ever buy a used game on eBay for $55. The purpose for it is deals. $55 for a $60 is not a deal. You are not making some company based on fucking over developers for their games, Gamestop is.

what?  people sell games after a few weeks because those games are shit, Gamestop is just making it easyer for the costumer.

but yeah, gamestop needs to go, and i will be dancing in the street when they go!   stupid idiots destroy the boxes of old games, open new games to sell em higher than they would be allowed with new ones and pay very little money for games.

Sounds like those people need to just stop pre-ordering games and wait for some reviews. Which is another Gamestop situation.

Of course people would buy a Like New game on eBay for $55 if the game only came out a few days/weeks ago.  And the dev is NOT getting screwed over.  Every market has a 2nd hand market.  Are those markets getting screwed over?  No, of course not.  Once someone pays the cost of a new item, they can do whatever they want with it.  Whether they sell it 2nd hand themselves, or choose to go through a 2nd hand retailer, like Gamestop, makes no difference.  It's the same result.

It's obvious you just dislike Gamestop for some reason or another.  But, the fact is, they do nothing truly wrong or immoral that hurts devs.  You're just using that as a strawman to further your argument.  Unless you think ANYTHING bought 2nd hand is a criminal act against the original creator of that product.  And if that isn't your stance, than your argument is misguided.
