It is very comforting to see a new IP perform so much, even besting some of the biggest franchises the world has ever seen. It's good for the sake of innovation, and it's good for the sake of diversification.

On the other hand...Splatoon may very well end up being the best-selling Wii U title in Japan!
It may even go toe-to-toe with Final Fantasy XV for that top spot, but I may be putting too much responsibility on those squid kids!
