Its not an MMO model and you cant say that about every MMO lol. Maybe you just dont have any MMO experience? I cant recall a single MMO that launched with such light content, had expansions that were such jokes, and had so many fundamental design flaws that needed fixing.

Destiny follows the AAA game model, not the MMO model. It just tries to infuse that model with some MMO flair. There is nothing MMO about Destiny.

That said, lol @ there even being any reviews yet. If the game ends on an 89-90 meta, awesome. But the raid is the big draw and its not even out yet. It would be like publishing a Halo 5 review without MP being available.

Nothing MMO in Destiny? I'm curious then, what does MMO mean?

I always thought it meant Massively Multiplayer Online or something like that. So, exactly like Destiny...

What exactly is massive about up to 16 people in one area? The game world isn't massive. It's fractured and walled off to make way for future DLC. At least you got the multiplayer and online part correct. Those are exactly like Destiny. There's a reason Bungie was firm from the start that Destiny is not an MMO. Idk of a better source than logic and the devs themselves. Or, again, maybe Destiny players just don't have much actual MMO experience :)

It might incorporate some small MMO elements, but that doesn't make it an MMO. Much like how even though Madden 16 incorporates some RPG elements (quests, experience, level ups) it certainly is not an RPG.

And with its extremely light content and expensive "expansions" that are also light on content, and platform exclusive content, and platform exclusive timed DLC inside of DLC, it certainly doesn't follow any "MMO model" as someone claimed it does.

Now, I haven't played it since I beat it after the initial launch, but damn.... 17 gigs for an update? Seems rediculous. What's so different that takes 17 gigs?

Since enemies/character animations until the core base game.

Even the UI is changed... the voices too.

I can say 17GB is a fair update.

Lol, I don't even own a game that has more than 17 GB.

Really? I don't have games with less than 20GB.

Wii U...

Mario 3D World is like what? 2 Gigs?

The last game I bought, having already played it for 21 hours, is only 1.4 GB.

Indie game?

And one of the best games of the generation.

Also Splatoon is even lighter

Everyone should wait for the biogamergirl review. They liked the first iteration of Destiny a lot.

Wii U only users shouldnt be surprised about 17 Gigs Update file, technically impressive AAA games weigh WAY more than that.

There are tons of 50GB+ games on the Ps4, now its common on this consoles.

1-2 GB games are indie numbers on the Ps4.

"WiiU only owners" are not a race, you know? I am a PC gamer, I´m used to have games with 30 - 50 GB and a update with 17 GB is too damn heavy, is the entire weight of Driveclub when it was launched, and also the weight of Smash Bros 4, it´s a very heavy update and you don´t need to be a "WiiU only user" to be surprised.

1-2Gb is the weight of some indies on WiiU too, if SM3DW or Splatoon are so lighter is because Nintendo is damn good with compression and everybody knows it.

And Btw, "1-2"  is indie numbers on PS4 and yet some of the best new indie of the console are less than 500mb (Shovel Knight, OlliOlli2, Rogue Legacy, Axiom Verge, etc etc)

Why do you get offended with what im saying?

Im talking about Wii U ONLY owners, not Wii U/PC owners.

Its natural that if someone is used to 1 to 2 Gigabyte AAA games, when they see a 17GB update the should be surprised and amazed. Im just saying that at this time and age, on 2015 is almost the norm to have HUGE games and HUGE updates.

At first i was surprised when i first purchased the Ps4, coming from the Ps3. But now? Not so much.

To those who don't know, the legendary edition is the new retail meta at 60 bucks. Those who already owned the vanilla version can get it for 40 as an expansion. The Legendary edition for new players comes with ALL content to date including TK and the other 2 DLCs.

So in a sense, this is a reboot for year two and by the looks of it from playing it and reviews, it will be a successful one at that.

Hows the single player campaign? Is it worth the 60 bucks?
