agree that this service would be released anytime soon like several weeks as the new president is announced, and i believe nintendo pushed this service to be announced around September or so.


I don't think the membership benefits will be digital exclusive until the NX,  but I definitely think that the rewards will be digital only.  So it'll be kind of like club  Nintendo in last years, where all the rewards were digital games. I think they'll use this time to kind of ween people off of physical games, especially 3DS owners. Then, when the NX is out, the rewards will naturally be digital only with the platform.

Yeah, I cover that a little bit  yeah, I cover that a little bit  in this thread when I referred to the "recommendation coupon" concept.

I don't think you're getting anything physical with this, especially not gadgets. It's all gonna be digital game software. I don't think you'll get many free games, either. Discounts? Sure.

They should have some form of phisical store. I would have gladly bought some of the prizes of the Club Nintendo if I had the chance. Maybe an big merchandising online store that is also tied to your Nintendo account.

I don't think that's what this thing is. I think the new lootcrate-like Nintendo subscription will be for all the physical knick nacks. This will be to make people vigorously buy eshop games by rewarding them with sales and games.
