I really hope that there is an equivalent to Iwata asks as well. I loved those. Takahashi could do them.

Excellent. I hope Shibata continues to host the European Directs.

Great, my life has a meaning once again!

With Tatsumi Kimishima taking over the helm, what sort of differences can we expect from the presentation, structure, overall tone, and anything else with Nintendo Directs going forward? Since I'm a cold-hearted robot, I was never swayed by the light-hearted tone of the Directs but did enjoy the segments that focused on project managers or lead developers.
My guess is that that Morimoto guy or Miyamoto/other Nintendo known figure will host the japanese directs.
In Europe i see Shibata doing pretty much the whole thing and in the US there's Reggie and Bill.

At least we have a confirmation.
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
I'm happy for that, but the first direct after Iwata's passing will be sort of sad. I can't dissociate him from the directs.

Shibata is really an amazing president, I'm shure that if nintendo hired some development teams in Europe they would make some amazing games under his supervision.
Happy to have confirmation, that "what games will be shown" gives me this possibilities:
A- Mobile Games;
B- Pokémon Z, Pikmin 4 and the last few games for Wii U/3DS;
C-NX games (in this case the Direct would be in early 2016)

Yeah that would be pretty interesting to see what he could do with some European studios. I think European made games have been kind of lacking when it comes to 1st party, not just for Nintendo either but for the others as well. We've got some talented studios and we're a big gaming market so it would be nice to see them go for more Euro centric content for us. |
The strange thing is that most European developers are indie and don't try to make their own company like Rare or Ubisoft, but I'm shure that they would love to work with some of this big companies like Nintendo to make proper games, trying to push consoles to their limits
