I've always believed the mom to be Peach, I mean, what do you think Bowser kidnaps her for?

That's not the kind of thing a family friendly game developper is supposed to admit in a live stream.

Also he kidnaps her for her pie, obviously.

Yeah that's more if they wanted to give a realistic logical answer. I'm sure they'll either say something completely ridiculous or avoid giving a real answer altogether. 

Or go crazy about how it doesn't matter who his mother is and give a hell of a speech.
That would be awesome.

Edit : now that I think about it is there anything about bowser actually being male ? He may very well be the mother for all i know.
