I'm glad they don't make remasters.

Now start making a game for Nintendo please. :p

TBH I think Sunset Overdirve might have done better on Wii U than on Xb one.

New games only from Insomniac please...the 2016 remake of the original game notwithstanding.

Best would be multiplat so no one misses out. As long as they don't start making "realistic" violent games like Resistence I'm fine! They're one of the few good devs who make cartoony games.

Resistance 3 was amazing.

LOL i dont know why, but i liked the second one the most.

I found the first one good but not great!

The third was good too!

That makes 2 of us. The set pieces, boss fights and the co-op mode were amazing that were greatly lacking in the 3rd game. Some of the best fun I had when I bought my ps3.

I only liked Resistance 3 and thats because it ripped of Half Life 2 but in Co Op!
I was dissappointed in the ending.. Should have been huge and amazing especially when you see all the stuff in R2.. But they threw all that away to remake HL2..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

I'm honestly unsure about this one. Fuse and Sunset Overdrive are both significant quality drops from what Insomniac usually produces. I understand that a) this is a very small representation of Insomniac's total number of games and b) Insomniac's Ratchet and Clank games in recent years weren't stellar, I think there is actually a reason that explains all these quality drops.

Insomniac has historically worked very closely with Naughty Dog, to the point that they have shared code with each other. If you look at Insomniac's game output over time, you'll notice that the less involved they've been with Naughty Dog, the worse their games have been, with their last great game being A Crack in Time in 2009 (though Resistance 3 was still good). By the 2010s, Insomniac became much more intent on maintaining their own IP and focused much more on being and independent company, and their quality dropped substantially.

Could this just be a coincidence? Possibly. Could Insomniac just not be as good as they once were? Possibly. But, as someone who adores Insomniac, part of me thinks that Insomniac is at its best when they just accept that they're Naughty Dog #2.

Unfortunately they went multiplat and they almost lost their sould in the process, and Fuse is what we got. Once bitten, twice shy and all that. If they were to go multiplat I'd want them to go independant, but that's a bloody hard thing to do as a AAA developer. Perhaps if they went with Bethesda or 2K and expanded their horizons as a publisher and were more or less given autonomy ("Just make a game that sells well please"). Though I'm a bit leary of 2K after Evolve. Just look at what happened to Bungie when it left the safe, but possibly stifling, cocoon of Microsoft and got eaten up by Activision. By all accounts, even if you consider Destiny to be a great game, it seems like Destiny came out less than Bungie's original vision, so even they were not free from meddling in the interests of squeezing more profit from a game that was prety much guaranteed to sell very well and be profitable for Activision. These publishers always want more for less, which means we as gamers end up getting less for more.

I quite like the idea of a developer making exclusive games for different platforms. Make a game that targets the specific interests and tastes of the console player base. Especially in the case of low-selling consoles like Wii U and PSV you have to really understand what appeals to those gamers and make a game that has your unique flavour but that also caters to the interests of the players. I'm sure Hatchet and Crank would do as well on Nintendo platforms as Ratchet and Clank does on PS platforms. Possibly better in terms of tie ratio. Resistance, OTOH, could have done better on Xbox, certainly would have done better on Xbox than on Nintendo platofrms. Resistance was important for Sony from a competitive standpoint, but in terms of what platform it would do best in with sales it almost certainly would have done better on Xbox.

Their best games are exclusives to Playstation and they sold well there, i dont know why they went multiplat...also, Sunset Overdrive being the best games from them in a long time kind of flopped on the Xbox One.

They should return to their Playstation roots imo.

Oh I would love this. Hell just having the servers for the 2nd one back online would make my year(I know that has to do with Sony not Insomniac).

There are enough games that I haven't played out there without me having to resort to playing games that I've beaten before over again.

Hows your backlog? Your PS Level is amazing, i dont think you have missed much.

I'm a big fan of Insomniac and Resistance and I'd buy a remaster trilogy.
