Bring it back or no?

The problem is, the GC cotroller lacks buttons, a new one based on it could do the trick, but I'm not getting my hopes up, Ninty will probably try to be "unique" and put the buttons below the analog stick once again.

I'm now filled with determination.

i'm opting for more on a pro controller. gamecube controllers are good but if they are still going to redesign it, better to have a pro controller+ version.

No. Just bring me a smaller gamepad.

As much as I like the GC controller, I think it would be too basic for something like a new console from Nintendo.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I disagree.

The buttons were just... clunky. Like, really clunky, all of them. Maybe that's just the SNES controller I played on more recently, but that's how it felt to me. Either way, it was surely far better than the NES and N64 ones, so that's something.

But you know, the Gamecube controller was far better than what came before it. It was the first one to have dual analogs (which worked well unlike that N64 crap), ergonomy, proper triggers and what not. That's why people love it, really. It's the same reason Ocarina of Time is still held up as the best game ever and stuff like that.

The Wii U Pro Controller is VERY easily the best traditional controller Nintendo has ever made. If they do a redesign of it with analog triggers, gyro/motion sensors, and maybe speakers/mic for the NX, I'll be happy.

The GameCube controller was the epitome of clunky controllers. Nintendo's worst controller. It was bad, really bad.

1. It made tons of plasticky noise whenever someone used it.

2. The button configuration was totally fucked up.

3. The d-pad, c-stick, and z-trigger were completely worthless.

4. The analog sticks were garbage toy quality.

the entire controller was less like a true videogame controller, and more like a cheaply made children's toy.

You know the U Pro controller, Wii Nunchuck, & Classic controllers, all use the same GC/Wavebird joystick internals. I've fixed old GC controllers by transplating useless nunchucks into them. YOu can even put the all the joystick nunchuck grips on the GC controllers. To make it easier to use the C stick.

They probably wont... even though we can use it for the Wii U, we can only use it for 1 game..

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

I prefer the Pro Controller as a traditional controller, and I would like them to do something more unpredictable. A traditional controller would be so... boring. I like to have many options of how I want to play. On the WiiU you can play with the gamepad, pro controller, Wiimote, wii classic controller.... And that's exactly what I want. Something different.

I'm not a fan of the GC controller, and there have been a lot of advances since then. A classic style controller, sure, but it should be as good or better than anything currently available - and the Wavebird is not.

Give me a comfortable controller like the DS 4 and im in

I don't understand why people love the gamecube controller. Of all of the controllers I've ever used, it's the second clunkiest, right behind the n64 controller.
