Nintendo always want unique art style and look for every Zelda, so when today almost every game has very realistic graphic I dont see that Zelda needs to have it too.
Personally I like Zelda U graphics and art style much more that this.

ocarina of time and twilight princess weren't exactly unique. They adopted a darker and semi realistic tone for their days than zelda games nowadays. Plus, why does Nintendo have to be "different and unique." Why can't they go back to their grassroots and make games for the sake of making games. It annoys me when they forcibly try to make games or franchises unique (metroid prime federation force as an example)
Also, I never said zelda U has a bad artstyle, all I said was that it would be nice if a recent zelda game adopted this realistic artstyle to counterbalance all of the cartoonish zelda games recently.

Actual Ocarina of Time was very unique in every way in time when was released. TP have different story, after WW Zelda fans were very mad (even if WW later become one of the most loved Zelda game) saying that they dont want cartoonish Zelda and that they want realistic, so Nintendo made TP with very realistic art style.
Why does Nintendo have to be "different and unique!?
Because that's what that make them Nintendo and because that's why their games are still among the best in industry. This is especially holds for Zelda IP, Aonuma said that they always looking that Zelda be unique in every possible way, I think that one of reasons why Zelda have still so long high quality games and one of the best games in whole generation.
I dont want realistic art style for Zelda (or for majority of Ninteodo IPs) because we already see that in almost every AAA game, in other hand Zelda U art style looks very unique and and very good.
Metroid Prime Federation is different story, that is fast Metroid spin off.
