Forums - Sony - Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection PS4 Bundle Out October 9th

well it makes sense for me to buy uncharted 4 + the three previous games with a single purchase. it's kind of like how Nintendo sold Star Fox 64 with the rumble pack included. Or how they sold DK64 with the expansion pack included. you're supposed to get everything you need in one purchase.

So, you expect every game in the same franchise to be included with every purchase of later interations of the same franchise? Take that up with the industly, not Sony or ND.

This is a very good bundle for those that would be new to the series. Really hyped to see how the first two games look remastered. I'm still undecided whether I should buy the game since it's either this or Yoshi Woolly Word; skeptical on Yoshi since I didn't really like the recent New Island.

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

You cannot expect a company to throw money away just to suit the gamer. Sony do things to suit the gamer now and then but at the end of the day they're a business, not a charity.

Well, you don't actually NEED the NDC to play Uncharted 4. Plus, using that logic every sequel should come with all of the other games in the series. That could get very expensive.

you didnt need the rumble pack to play star fox. but you did need the exp. pack to play DK.

anyway, if youre going to port games to the ps4, they should at least be included in the sequel.

im not suggesting every sequel should have ports of the originals included in it. throughout the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th generations, it has never been that way, and i wouldnt ever expect it to, BUT if youre going to port the games to the system anyway, you might as well increase the value of the package, i guess kind of like what happened with Bayo 2.

you're (any business ever) not going to port games unless there is a finacial gain to be had...

Robert-San, I believe you misundertood. When I said Fallout 4 exclusitvity, I was stating that Microsoft has advertising rights. While that may not seem important, keep in mind the Xbox One did shatter the November NPD record in 2014. I am not stating this is going to be a repeat performance, but having the aforementioned titles listed above is going to give Sony quite a tough time if they do want to come out the winner for November and the holidays as a whole.

MS had the marketing rights to a few games (Witcher?) which in the end sold more on PS4... It really depends on how they market it I think. They havent done a great job from some of their previous deals. It coming out on the same day as TR probably means they are going to go with marketing multiple games in one advert (hey it's cheaper)... personally I think that would be the wrong move.

We shall see, but for me FO4 is one of the biggest games of the year and deserves a massive push...and at least a themed console...

I understand Madword-San. All I am stating is that, from a sales standpoint, it seems that the One is going to take some of those sales away (understandably) from the PlayStation 4.

I totally agree with you on what you're saying.  I mean, I don't expect M$ to give away Halo MCC with Halo 5 or Gears Ultimate with Gears 4...... But there was this group of gamers a while back blasting M$ for not giving us everything that came with a $600 PS3 with our purchase of a $400 Xbox 360.  They also praised Sony for "caring so much about the gamer" that they sold an $800 console for $600! Or that they give you millions of free games with a subscription of PlayStation plus while M$ only gives old games that everyone already owned (and before they, allegedly didn't give gamers anything!)

Glad we're all finally in total agreement that gaming isn't a charity. It's a business and the goal is to make money. :)

On topic, yaaaay ND Collection.  It looks great!

This bundle is terrible value in light of the new Destiny, Cod and Battlefront bundles. Bombing on Amazon as expected.

Too bad it's a 500GB console in this bundle

Sony are going overboard with bundles this fall. MGS (though that one was very limited afaik) Destiny, Star Wars, and now NDC. CoDbundle seems inevitable as well.

It's the only way to show that they have something "new" to talk about.  After delaying most of their heavy hitters to 2016 and beyond, you have to have something to talk about.

Beyond? What 2015 game did they delay past 2016?

OP. That's a pretty good bundle. I'm interested to see how it does.

That's where I'm confused. The only first party PS4 game thus far that was delayed passed it's target date has been UC4, but people are acting like every single PS4 game has been delayed into 2018 or some shit. Honestly, this is probably the reason why UC4 saw a slight delay; Sony's making smart moves with third parties and this is gonna pay off very well for them over the holidays, then 2016 is just going to be an avalanche of new AAA exclusives.
