I've never played in a ranked game either.

this is probably my favorite online ps3 game to date... i own the first DLC as well.

However, approach the 500,000 number with caution. Those with the retail version can create one or more additional accounts (in a different profile) and also be ranked. so it hasn't sold 500,000 copies total.

 but the control is very similar. and frankly, I don't fly a warhawk, it's just hard to shoot one down. Don't get me wrong, I love the game, I just never played ranked games as I will get ranked low

But people who got the retail copy must have the disc in the machine to play it.

^ but even if only one person can play at a time, multiple people on the same system using the same retail copy can be on the leaderboards at once. meaning 500,000 people on the leaderboard doesn't equal 500,000 sales.

 Well not completely.  As retail games of Warhawk allow you to instal the game under more then one PSN ID.  It's logical to assume at least a couple people have done that. 


if you bought the disc version of warhawk, it does install the game data onto the ps3 aswell, BUT the game won't start up unless you use the disc. so if it is installed on more than one ps3, then it won't play unless a warhawk disc is inside the ps3. i know this because i have the disc version.

that can be said for every single online game ever made. me and my brother play fifa online on both our profiles, but with the same disc.
