Aye, it's why they simply aren't credible in my view. Though, I also don't view reviewers as very credible either. Not necessarily because I think they suck at their jobs, but more because I don't trust a reviewer to have my exact taste in games. Though, some of them lack any kind of credibility, and placing your faith in them is a ludicrous proposition.
Gamerankings is the other aggregate reviewer if you don't like Metacritic. Their current score for Until Dawn is 79.94%.
But seriously, your enjoyment of a game shouldn't be contingent on a single point. When using Metacritic, I personally to group certain scores together to judge the quality of a game (so, I personally think games that score between 77-82, 83-86, 87-90, and 91+ tend to be indistinguishable in quality, and how much I would enjoy that particular game comes down to personal preference.)
Or you shouldn't care so much about MC. If you like the game, it's all that matters.
There are lots of good scores and bad scores missing for lots of games.
Don't worry about that. The game has proven to be a good game for what it was intended to be. yesterday on ps4 twitch, the #1 user was playing it with more than 5k users.

I liked Splatoon, Yoshi's Woolly World and DKC: TF a lot more than Bayonetta 2 and Rayman Legends.
There are likely some negative/mediocre reviews they haven't included as well. When considering the standard variance you see from aggregated scores like this, i expect things even out. It's worth noting though that some of those reviews are from 'approved' sites. Some just don't seem to have been put up yet (such as NXGamer), and others are already there (RPGFan).

I expect so did some reviewers. That doesn't say much as to whether their metascore's are accurate or not though, at least within a reasonable range. Stand alone opinions don't mean much to a generalized view point after all.
