But seriously, your enjoyment of a game shouldn't be contingent on a single point. When using Metacritic, I personally to group certain scores together to judge the quality of a game (so, I personally think games that score between 77-82, 83-86, 87-90, and 91+ tend to be indistinguishable in quality, and how much I would enjoy that particular game comes down to personal preference.) |
I liked Splatoon, Yoshi's Woolly World and DKC: TF a lot more than Bayonetta 2 and Rayman Legends.

I expect so did some reviewers. That doesn't say much as to whether their metascore's are accurate or not though, at least within a reasonable range. Stand alone opinions don't mean much to a generalized view point after all.
