For a start an overhaul to the control set up can solve a lot of that camera and all, OM's approach already allows for a tps platform adventure game, problem here is you're not looking at the approach you're looking at OM. The approach itself already allows for everything you say Team Ninja just didn't utilize it.

...No it doesn't, dude. Like the way the levels are designs literally makes a third person shooter impossible. As soon as you add a second analog stick and the ability to control the camera, it stops being like Other Ms approach entirely. It's literally like saying 3D World can be a TPS. It can't. That's the kind of 3D other M has, and that wouldn't work for a 3D Metroid.

Any reason why Samus should be SJWed? Do we need more brunettes in video games? Do blondes with decent sized breasts not exist in the real world?

...what the hell are you even going on about?

The only change Metroid needs is her being lesbian or bi-sexual. They can reveal it in a similar way they revealed she was a woman almost 30 years ago.

This would give Metroid a lot of free media attention and it would be hot as hell.

That's stupid. Metroid isn't some teen rom-com. Samus's sexual orientation is irrelevant. Nobody gives a shit who's she gets the hots for.

Samus' gender is equally irrelevant yet it's made her famous. People obviously do give a shit, it's a good marketing tool.

Metroid isn't Power Rangers either, which is what you're suggesting.

Samus's gender is relevant because you actually see her. You can't hide her gender. For her sexual orientation to become relevant, you'd have to introduce a love interest, which means a love story, which it the antithesis to what you should be doing in a Metroid game. Nobody gives a shit.

And cut it out with the power rangers garbage.

Have you even played a Metroid game before?

Cut it out with constantly trying to turn Metroid in a 3D beat 'em up. Nintendo only acknowledged two styles of Metroid, not 3. It's never going to happen.

Team Ninja is responsible for that "Power Ranger" crap you unreasonably keep bringing up. There are more than one way to approach a third person 3D Metroid. But for some reason, you don't seem to have enough imagination to picture a compelling one.

Except Nintendo, and Sakamoto in particular, were heavily involved. They were responsible for the biggest flaws in the game.

Third person Metroid got its chance and it blew it. Time for a beautiful 2.5D Metroid game or another Metroid FPA (not to be confused with the FPS that is FF).

Oh and Halo 5 proves that you can have the shinespark in an FPS game.

Clearly more than you have if the impression you get from the franchise is that Metroid should go Twilight.

3D beat em up... TPS Platfrom Adventure... 3D beat em up... TPS Platfrom Adventure... 3D beat em up... TPS Platfrom Adventure... Hm... Didn't realize they meant the same thing. Also didn't know that Infamous: Second Son was a 3D beat em up. The more you know, I guess.

No, Nintendo actually specifically referanced a TPS Platform Adventure game for Metroids. When asked about a future Metroid game, your lord and savior Miyamoto said Metroid Blast was the direction they'd go.

"You know, the kind of ideas I have on Metroid are already reflected in the mini-game that is devoted to the series in Nintendo Land, Metroid Blast." - Miyamoto

Try again, though. When Tanabe talked about two styles of Metroids, he was vague, and likely only meant 2D and 3D. In fact, he definitely did, as otherwise Miyamoto's word clash with his own.

You don't even need imagination. You literally just have to look at literally every other third person game that's ever been made literally no 3rd person game plays like Other M other than Other M.

Not even Power Rangers games.
