Because Microsoft, perhaps? I'm honestly a bit confused how Mohjang is meant to work though, seeing as how one of their IPs is going to be (and not just will continue to be) released on rival home consoles.

check out ucraft, it seems to be even better as minecraft scince its using the wii u specific features (you can draw own textures and co). I prefer a game specific made for wii u as minecraft as a simple port which i can just play on my pc or ps4

To be fair, Minecraft may take advantage of some features when they port it also. I'll just wait and see and make a decision then.
