It might be smart, for Sony, to let the PS4 continue being carried by multiplats. Why bother trying, when your main costumers shrewdness seems skewed (IMO)? Maybe they should wait until the PS4 falters. Then use their big guns to strengthen the platform.

Yes, it is smart to launch your games when there are fewer games on the market, but Microsoft want as many as possible to get an xbox as soon as possible even though their end of 2016 and 2017 may be slim (if they don't buy some games)

Both divisions are idiots. Why even pay for self developed games at all when 3rd parties are bringing great games to you platform for free!! Think, people!

Also 3rd party probably appreciate you dont try to compete against them, potentially stealing sales from them.

It isn't a matter of being "smarter". Uncharted 4 was supposed to come out this holiday, Then it has been delayed. Like it's happening to many games this generation. The difference is just that the PS4 has more games of more different kinds coming out. To bring them all out for Christmas would be simply stupid.
