If you want to understand the story better then read the datalog ..

Nothing says good narrative like putting in a menu for you to read.... You'd think people wanted it told to them or them to experience it by playing the game or something, else why not just put it all in book/manual that came with the game?

Hmm, pie.

I couldn't finish FFXIII, after the wonderful FFXII it felt like a huge step backwards and a waste of my time.

X-2 is and always will be my favourite offline game. Sure the story can be lame but after the depressing journey X sets you on, knowing Yunas fate. X-2 shows Yuna with that weight lifted off her and everyone ese in general, then the spiral back towards war between the fractions, with yuna stuck in the middle. The ending where she gets Titus back is great.

13 wasnt to bad, I finished it then went back to do the side quests. The content is there but the combat is pretty sad.

But then Im a hugh fan of XI, i can never grasp the hate it gets. My only assumption is people don't like really hard games with a steep learning curve.

I also have had arguments with people here who somehow say this combat is fun.

I've also have had arguments with people here who somehow didn't enjoy Fallout: New Vegas.

Well, if i had played it on the PC perhaps it would've been better. I played it several years after it came out afterall. I would give it another chance if they made a remaster for the new consoles with better graphics and short or no loading times and bugs. xD

Oh look! It's another "FF Fan"who doesn't like X2 or XIII! So many special snowflakes around here.

That's the same thing that comes to my mind when someone pops up saying he doesn't like Final Fantasy VII.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Don't know who would say that. FF7 is a great game. Just not as great as the others.

It is perfectly normal FFXIII is complete trash. The people who unexplicably seem to enjoy it are over represented on these forums. The XIII series lowered sales of the series from millions to less than a million, even though the 3rd game didnt deserve it. But it just goes to show the damage the first two caused.

I also have had arguments with people here who somehow say this combat is fun. I dont know how changing between 3 paradigms and watching the game play itself is considered fun. I have been unconvinced and i played longer than you did.

My experience has been the polar opposite. The hate is far overrepresented on forums and internet. I'm not debating your opinon on the game, but the rl/internet disparity of hate is so lopsided....

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

FFXIII sucks that is why.

In comparison theres alot more sympathisers of the game on these forums. I personally dont see how anyone could enjoy the game. Its one of the worst games i have ever played. But to each their own, of course.

Maybe you should try to beat it again, maybe you'll gain a new perspective on it!
