If that is the case, then one of those reviewers is a bad reviewer. How much something is rewarding is part of the design of the game. If reviews are this volatile and opinated then the scoring system makes no sense and is arbitrary.

At the end of the day, what we have in this case is the same game with less features (and this was a game created with the gamepad in mind and loses alot of its appeal without it). How can it possibly score higher? I can't account this to simply "opinion" and i can't clear the publication of the past review published for the same game. None of this is serious. If it isnt serious, i can't trust either of their reviews. Both of them are untrustworthy.

Imagine Fallout 4. It comes out for PS4 and X1 and performs the same on both systems but you give it to different people to review. At the end of the day they have different opinions and one gives it an 9 and the other a 6. Its their opinions but now the PS4 version is a 6 and the X1 is a 9. Does this make any sense? Would you be ok with that and why are you ok with it in this case?

Yes, it would make sense. To be fair, Bethesda's games usually run worse on playstation consoles so I actually expect the review to be worse for the PS4 port. That could be different with Fallout 4, though. We'll see on that.

It's asinine to think that that different reviewers would give the same score to different ports to a game. Also the wii u's version was pretty glitchy and the controller is a "love or hate it" type of situation with gamers. If the other consoles' version of this game isn't glitchy then it should automatically get a better score than the wii u version in my opinion.

Reviewers are individuals who will always come to different conclusions and judgements more often than agreeing on something.

That wasnt the comparison it was if both performed equally.

If you think that its ok to give vastly different scores to the same game, then by all means. All i ask is consistency. Lets have it on every game and not only on the ones that are easiest to pick on.

Still can't see why he continues to moan. There's tons of improvements/patches from the original game which is why the WII U version was rated lower. Besides the game-crashing bugs, the first round of patches added more ammo which people cried about.

Should reviewers have to update their reviews each and every patch? In a fair world that would be great but that's never going happen so you shouldn't lower a game's score (Zombi) just to match it's preexisting score.

Zombi is more or less the Director's Cut version and I think it's a fair review if you actually take time and read it.

Most games on PS/XBOX tend to get overinflated scores. I mean, just check the games that got over 90%+.

Look at Arkham City on the Wii U, it got 11 points less on average. Then look at games like Journey, TLOU: R, Fez, Bastion, Flower, Shovel Knight (PS4), etc.

Titanfall, with no singleplayer campaign and not a lot of content got 86%. Halo: MCC, who's online still doesn't work correctly, is sitting at 85%.

They don't have the same amount of reviews, and the reviews say they took off points cause of framerate issues and glitches, another mentions some gimmicks that do more harm than good, "You can use the right stick to aim, but the gyroscope still registers and can throw the reticule off slightly."

All those PS4 ports are superior to the PS3 versions in every way, Batman Arkham City obviously doesn't fit that criteria.

Lol, my PC from 1960 can run Fez, Bastion, Shovel Knight and Flower (hyperbole). What's so superior about those ports? Shovel Knight is the exact same game.

I never said Arkham City on Wii U was scored unfairly btw. Not at all the point I was making.

The changes in most of these "remasters"/ports are so few that they don't deserve so much praise.

Who cares if the changes are few, they are reviewing the game, they aren't reviewing the changes between ports.  If the game is still great its gonna get a good score lol, it would be retarded for a reviewer to take points off a games score cause its similar to another version.

You just made the same argument that you are arguing against.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

2nd review: right
1st review: wrong

I agree with this, but I also think that this reviewer could have also voiced his opinion on what score he would have given to  the wii u version or at least what version did he prefer. Also shame on you all how say that zombiu was a bad game or the perfect example of a mediocre game as it was far from both. It got really mixed reviews, most loved it some really hated it resulting in a good, but sadly not a great meta score.

Fuck critics

What if it's just the better version?

Or a different reviewer?

Edit: it's a different reviewer

I agree IGn is a company and tehy shoudl give standard reviews - they sign teh reviews as IGN and not as the reviewer name as indipendent.

Switch!!!

its not wrong at all, it means that Nintendo has set the bar higher than the competition, and thats why there are so many good games getting mediocre scores on Nintendo systems .. Right?

Now seriously.... We have a different reviewer, the game cost 1/3 of the original release and they fixed major glitches and bugs so maybe, and just maybe, that guy might think it deserve a better score than the original. Not to mention meta is higher with the original so, no point in complainning for one review imo
