Forums - Nintendo - Will Pokken fighters be ported to the NX now that its confirmed for Wii U?

Do you think Pokken fighters will be ported/remastered to the NX?

Yes 17 18.48%

No 46 50.00%

i think a remaster could ... 11 11.96%

im sceptical 18 19.57%

Total:92

It could happen, but I wouldn't count on it. I really don't expect Nintendo to port over to the NX all those WiiU games like everyone seems to suggest.

Why not?

So some people thought Pokken fighters would skip Wii U in the favor for NX, but now that its confirmed for Wii U, you still think it will come to the NX? as a port or maybe a remaster. Personally i doubt it. I dont think Nintendo is gonna have all Wii U games on the NX, just because maybe they will sell better on there. Also if a fair amount of people buy Pokken fighters for the Wii U, they probably wont buy it on the NX aswell.

people are thinking the same about zelda. As long as we dont know what NX is, there is no hint that anything of this will happen. So no.

people get mad about ps4 remastered games but bet for remastered games on NX. NX should get completly new games. The wii u and its games failed. People dont get it. Nintendo will do something completly new with NX, so old games probl wont happen.

The graphics don't look mediocre at all.

Looks a shit ton better than another fighter currently on the Wii U:

While I will agree with you and say that Pokken does look nice. I will add that you are being unfair to Smash Bros. 4, as that image you provided is an awful representation of what Smash Bros. 4 offers.
You have used a retro stage as your example, a stage from the N64 no less.

^^ This example that I have provided is a  fair comparison.

There's no excuse for not updating retro stages (of which there are a lot in SSB Wii U). As for the picture you showed, it really just looks like a Wii game in HD. At least the models of the fighters look really nice, I will say that.

I agree that the stage does look like Super Mario Galaxy in HD. I do think that it is worth noting that despite the fact that Mario Galaxy was a Wii game, it holds up very nicely, even by today's standards.

Super Smash Bros. 4 is displayed natively at 1080p.
I agree that Pokken has superior backgrounds/ stages graphically, however Pokken is likely going to be running natively at 720p.

They are both good looking games, I just felt that your initial post was not giving Super Smash Bros. 4 enough credit, and I would go as far as saying you were somewhat discrediting the game.

As for why they reuse the stage assets from the N64 Smash Bros. I would argue that the developers have done this as a means to take advantage of nostalgia.

For awhile the retro tracks in the Mario Kart games featured the same graphics as their predecessor. It is not until recently that the Mario Kart games have actually rebuilt/remade these retro tracks from the ground up.

Pokken Fighters and Splatoon are both going to be ported to the NX for its launch.

I think you forgot the Kappa.
