Forums - Gaming - Please help with windows 10 problems

Well the tech support at MS was less than ussles, utimately blaming the manufacture of the pc. So I thought I might ask you guys.

So after I upgraded my lenovo z50 with amd A10-7300, the laptop just keeps crashing right after start up. It keeps saying on a blue screan "Thread stuck on deice driver".

I searched online for some help and they told me that the z50 crashes when the power cord is disconected after upgrading to windows 10. Turns out to be true and I can use it while the power cord is connected.

But having a laptop that needs to be conected at all times kind of defets the purpouse of having a laptop. If someone has any ideas.

I heard it might be a driver issue, but could not find a driver for the power cord(wich makes no sense for there to be a driver for it to beging with) But there where none.

Im at a lost, so if anyone can help, please, I would really apreciate it.

Did you update your bios? Also did u update your chipset (as well as others) drivers to the windows 10 versions?

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Did you try to contact Lenovo for this? Because it effectively looks like an hardware or even driver issue from the manufacturer.

Maybe you can try a fresh install without installing drivers from Lenovo too.

Im curious to know ifbyou would have this issue with a fresh install of Windows 10 versus the upgrade.

I couldnt get the update to work properly on my machines. So I wiped my drives and installed Windows 10, works great.

My guess would be W10 is having an issue with some power/battery monitoring software.

From a quick google search, it says that updating to the newest Bios version (Windows 8.1) should fix your problem. I assume this is your model, but double (and triple) check before changing anything:

My recommendation is to upgrade back to Windows 7 or 8 versions.

Well this seems to be working. Its been like 10min and no reset wich is 9mins longer that it lasted before. So im going with this fixed this issue. Thank you, very much

Well I did the one button update the laptop brought, and after it said everithing was up to the latest version. Seeing as how I now have updated the bios manually and the issue is gone, Im going with that lenovo autoupdte is defective.

I was thinking of this, but it would take to long and wanted to see if there was anything else I could try first.
