Seems kinda weird that the next Splatfest is Autobots versus Decepticons ... I mean Nintendo really doesn't do this type of cross-marketing with a different IP unless usually they have some broader relationship going on. 

We know Platinum is very close to Nintendo, having worked as a 2nd party of two previous projects and now being the developer of Star Fox Zero. 

Maybe the Autobot/Decepticon thing in Splatoon is a hint towards more Transformers stuff on Nintendo platforms in the future? Since Platinum is doing Transformers Devastation, maybe a director's cut version of that might be a launch title for NX?

at some point - this is the late port that Nintendo fans normally wouldn't want especially if the game is way past behind its hype (if there is). And getting it at a full price compared to lowered prices from other consoles is really not a good thing.

If the next Splatfest is PS4 Vs Xbox One, would you say that both companies would start working for Nintendo? Besides the Splatfest is about the Prime Universe. Transformers: Devestation is set in the G1 Universe.

Didn't a Japanese Splatfest advertise 2 foods/snacks made from a company non related to Nintendo before ?

An online multiplayer transformer game made by Platinum and plays like Splatoon Turf War would be amazing.
