People blaming video games for violence again, eh?
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

OH LOOK THE MEDIA IS SAYING VIDEO GAMES CAUSE VIOLENCE I HAVE NOT HEARD THAT ONE BEFORE HAVE YOU?

Only in Mario Kart; lead all race, see the finish line, blue shell, finish 5th, rage.

But, the media won't. And of course it leads to aggression if they are talking about when people get frustrated when they are losing in a game or hit a seemingly unfair spot. Who doesn't get pissed?
Nah I just get frustrated with some "violent" games.

Yeah, the link follows more closely to competition than it does violence, which is a conclusion that has been reached in previous APA research
A group consisting of approximately 230 media scholars, psychologists and criminologists have issued an open letter regarding the APA's "report".
What if it's just that really violent people tend to like really violent videogames? How might that be accounted for?
I suppose if the video game weren't all that violent, but the person was, we'd still figure a way to blame gaming.
They need to measure the real social and emotional intelligence of the people they pick for these studies. Obviously, some people people are better than others at keeping their cool in their games and in life in general. Gaming as a hobby is not a sole inhibitor towards real social and emotional intelligence.
I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
Anything can be a trigger for violence, games included.
