I would trust a 2D Metroid with only two people/groups. Igarashi and/or Nintendo SPD No. 1.

As for 3D spin offs. Does the Metroid franchise really need games in the same vein of Hunters or the upcoming Federation Force?

It would have been too weird to have a studio making both Castlevania and Metroid games that aren't "MetroidVania" at all.

Lords of Shadow 2 wasn't bad. Just not as good as the first one.

Would you trust MercurySteam on making a Metroid game, based on the their games that you played?

Absolutely. Lords of Shadow is fantastic and the most successful castlevania game of all time. Sadly Konami didn't give them the budget to finish lods of Shadow 2 to its full potential. But lgiven what has happened with kojima productions (who oversaw the games) is it any wonder?

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.
