Forums - Microsoft - Phil Spencer: Scalebound, Crackdown, Quantum Break won't come to PC as of now (Halo MCC/5 suspiciously not mentioned)

It's nice to see Microsoft is supporting PC more but the problem is that now there are always people in every single Xbox One exclusive video, thread, etc that say they hope it comes to PC or port beg for it to come to PC just because they don't want to buy an Xbox One.

Why is this a problem?

It's a problem for Microsoft because if they decide to put all their first party games on PC as well and not keep anything fully exclusive then that gets rid of any reason to buy an Xbox One. I could also see some current Xbox One owners getting angry over it since they bought an Xbox One to play those games but they were just put on PC anyway.

Which is why Microsoft needs to keep a lot of them fully exclusive.

It's like when Halo Wars 2 was announced for the Xbox One and PC and I already saw some comments saying stuff like "I wanted MCC not this".

The fact that he has to use words like 'now' and 'currently not plannet' show it'll probably happen xD

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

I wouldn't be surprised if all of those came to PC eventually even Halo 5.

the way he phrased things it basically confirms pc ports after a 6 month exclusivity period.

I think Quantum Break will definitely come to pc judging by Remedy other games, probably in 2017.

as of now...

"Right now we need to sell Xboxes. PC players can get their mumble bundles later."

I could see Microsoft putting games that probably won't boost hardware as much like Halo Wars 2, Fable Legends, etc on PC but I doubt they'll put the big hitter console sellers like Halo 5, Quantum Break, Scalebound, etc on PC because they need those to stay exclusive to give people a reason to buy the Xbox One.

If they just put every first party game of theirs on PC then they get rid of any reason for anyone to buy an Xbox One, so they need to keep the big hitter console sellers exclusive to the Xbox One.

Pretty much this, even if some of the bigger ones come to PC it'll probably be years after it comes to Xbox. Heck, I'm still surprised Sunset Overdrive hasn't been ported to PC yet.

Sounds to me like he just confirmed the PC versions of multiple games lol
