I also think evry new Mario Kart will be more Nintendo Kart than Mario Kart.

We already saw that in some degree with Mario Kart 8 DLC, F-Zero stages and vehicule, Animal Crossing characters, vehicule and stage, same for Zelda.

In next Mario/Nintendo Kart we could have Metroid Cup, Pokemon Cup, Animal Crossing Cup, Donkey Kong Cup, Yoshi Cup, Zelda Cup, F-Zero Cup, Kirby Cup, Pikmin Cup, StarFox cup and certainly few cups from Mario universe. That would be very interesting.

 

And yes, Pokemon MMO would be very popular.

best crossover EVER.

now srsly let's think about some crossovers, I'm shure there is somethig cool that could happen.

 

Like Link swinging his sword and cutting the bushes in AC Villagers' gardens.

Or a Fatal Frame crossover with Pokémon since Why not, GF always have some creepy stories in their games, why not a game focusing on those and maybe even explaining something about what happens with ghosts in the Pokémon world <.<

I have to go with the "No, new IP's please" crowd...
But in the spirit of actually contributing to the thread, I think it would be interesting to see a Metroid puzzle game...
I see it taking place entirely in morph ball mode...
Samus is trying to navigate a crazy tunnel system on an uncharted planet...
To progress through the game you have to solve puzzles and figure put how to use the environment to defeat enemies resistant to morph ball bombs...
