Just make one awesome endings instead of a bunch of lackluster epilogues.
Different paths through the game is much better than 3 alternative endings based on a bunch of arbitrary decisions that don't affect anything until the very end.

If the story doesn't get way more complex and nonlinear, then nope, i don't need it.

It's very hard to belive Nintendo will do it, specially given the complex Zelda timeline.

But what they could do is have two endings: a regular one for those who don't collect all the items and don't make all the sidequests and another, more complete one that gives a longer and more revealing ending for those who make the sidequests and have certain % of items.

Nintendo already did this with Metroid Prime, so they could do it again.

Please excuse my bad English.

Not for me. Multiple endings should be reserved for games where you consistently make your own choices regarding the story, thats something I'm not really in interested seeing in Zelda for the moment especially since Link is the archetype hero.

Unique content like the Final Mask in Majora? Sure. Different story conclusions? No thank you :)

Multiple ending arnt anything good in my opinion.

I do know two similar games that had multiple ending, both made it very similar and i wanst really impressed by both.

Witcher 3: The ending you will get isnt even transparent, more like random. Didnt liked it at all, even if i got (lucky) the good ending.

Gothic 3: The ending were pretty cool and alot more transparent as in Witcher 3, but still not impressed.

Biggets problem with multiple endings is, that a sequel will be almost impossible.

In Zelda multiple ending may work though, scince its using this different timelines system.

Ocarina of time probl had multile ending (just not really playable). So it might work way better for Zelda as for games like witcher and gothic.

I like the alternative 'complete' endings you got in Majora's Mask and Link's Awakening. I hope they'll include something like that. Radically different endings like a 'light' and 'dark' version I think are not really Zelda's style, I think those are better in games where you have 100% free choice all the time, which I wouldn't like for Zelda games.

As a sidenote I'm still waiting for a game where you as the protagonist instead of getting involved in something can just say "No, your problem" to a given quest and have the game be over in five minutes .

I think that would definitely expand the game in-terms of its complexity, and would make you feel that each thing you do will have a bigger impact on the game's story overall, so I would be on-board :)

I don't remember exactly how was the thing, but after the small prologue, the village chief asks you to save the world or some sort because you're its last hope, and you can say "no!" and just leave and live happily. Everyone is doomed and everything dies, but hey, you made your choice!
