10 different endings, all canon, each leading into a new branch of the timeline.

I'm not a fan of the idea. I love the story in Zelda, so I want one great one that acts as canon.

Just make one awesome endings instead of a bunch of lackluster epilogues.
Different paths through the game is much better than 3 alternative endings based on a bunch of arbitrary decisions that don't affect anything until the very end.

I'd agree with this.

I love the SMT franchise, but I honestly have never played a single one more than once. I can't built up the motivation to replay the same 50 hours to get a few extra hours of changes to what I played earlier. If the entire journey was different, then that's much more appealing to me.

I think what I'd really like to see again is something to similar to Oracle of Ages/Seasons, with multiple journeys combining into one larger game. I remember really enjoying that at the time, and loving how they connected together in the end. Though I suppose considering the reaction to Fire Emblem: Fates, this probably wouldn't go over very well nowadays.

I'm open to it, but as long as the endings are still good

story isnot the main reason i play zelda, so, no problem for me.

Well I sort of consider Majora's Mask to have multiple endings... depending on how you look at it...

It has different epilogues depending what side quests you finish.

plus, depending on how much you read into the game, you could view beating the game with/without using the fierce deity mask as alternate endings. There are intense theories online speculating about why Majora would let you have the ultimate weapon against him (the fierce deity mask). Is he just tricking you into thinking you defeated him? what dark force is controlling you as you put on the mask to beat him? Is he proving a point by forcing you to succomb to the mask to beat him? Is he just trying to cause more chaos? If you beat majora without using the mask you know you have bested him, and there is no potential risk of being tricked/ succumbing to a darker force yourself.

^^
This is all a bit too speculative for me personally, but its interesting to think about. And it makes me feel cool for beating it without the mask.

I mean...there's really no reason why a Zelda game needs multiple endings.

Unless uh...you want Shadow the Hedgehog I guess...

Make one primarily and 3 others with different handling

Given the complex storyline already it would make for some pretty cool endings and some pretty awesome stuff. But Zelda has always been pretty linear and not story centric so I don't think it'll happen.

You never know though...
