More games? Those bastards.

More games that can be played on PS4, you mean. Because this doesn't mean there are going to be more games. If anything, this means there are going to be less new games because teams that could be working on brand-new games are working on remastering old games instead.

Nope, Sony has started outsourcing their Remasters, neither GoW3 nor the Uncharted Collection are made by their original studios but instead studios that specialize on ports (Bluepoint Games) or teams nobody has ever heard about (Wholesale Algorithms).

Wii U is pretty much dependent on Mario games. Anyhow, Wii U is different aiming for a different audinece... people that still want Mario games and it hasn't been enough to make the Wii U a success.

Each recurring PS4 franchise should be selling better, but what keeping that from happening is the games aren't very good. The Order for example, that should have been huge. If it wasn't a bad game that would have been a great success for Sony. PS4 has the audience to move a ton of 1st party software but lacks the quality.

X1 has better exclusives and its moving exclusive software at par with PS4. That wouldn't be if Sony was doing better with its games.

Nonesense.

Sells don't determine quality.

If sells determine quality then you say Gran Turismo is better than Forza and Call of Duty is better than Halo.

Then if Micro would be doing better with their games they would be selling Xbones on par with the PS4, but they aren't.

You brought this same senseless argument before, you only want to discard Sony's first party games with your agenda.

Its case by case. Sales can vary based on size of userbase, audience interest, marketing, etc.

I just played Sunet Overdrive and its pretty damn good. But it likely did poor due to both small userbase and lack of interest from the Xbox audience. The game itself is quality stuff and could have been a hit on PS4.

Now The Order could have been a multi million selling IP already... if Sony made something at par with Gears of War. Instead its found its place in obscurity and the bargain because it sucks.

Killzone and Infamous have respectable numbers on PS4 but could have performed better if Sony delivered better games.

As Ive said many times before people arent buying PS4 for its exclusives. The people buying PS4 want 3rd party multiplat games. X1 has the superior attach rate on exclusives. Again, Sony needs to make better exclusives and I expect that to happen in 2016.

All smoke and mirrors. The top selling games on either console are multiplatform games. People are choosing their consoles based on games and features that are exclusive to a console. That's no different for any of the big 3. You're always trying to trash sony with meritless claims because of your bias with MS and bitterness towards sony.

I personally don't go around trying to trash the xbox one's games or many of it's features because everyone has different tastes and preferences. Of course, I'll say that I don't like a game or a feature all the time but I respect others' perferences. I don't like several genres of games and some of those genres are the main focus of nintendo and microsoft. For me, It's not worth the price of the console or games for either one but it is for other people. I don't need to trash their choice in games/consoles to feel good about myself.

For example, I hate the sports and racing genre but I never insult anyone who likes those genres or try to discredit those games. It's just not for me but other people adore 'em. I can live with that.

You're basically going around trashing playstation on every little thing because you dislike sony. "Again, Sony needs to make better exclusives". You're completely talking out of your ass with that. PS4 exclusives are rated high on metacritic.

Sony sucks for forcing you to buy remasters for some of their better games and cancelling all first party development to make moar remasters.

Sony isn't forcing people to do anything. Simple business ....in which people who didnt have PS3's are buying their remasters in large enough amounts resulting in profit, hence their desire to create more until demand falls into a slump. Its just annoying right now because we have to wait through remasters until their first party starts building up. It always takes like two years, but after that Sony's fine. After that I truly start worrying about their competitors keeping up.

I cannot think of a better example of bias of perspective than what you said about Sunset Overdrive and Infamous.

You said Sunset Overdrive didn't sell that well because of user base and consumer intrest but tha Infamous only did okay because of the quality of the game.

Infamous and Sunset Overdrive have metacritic scores that are one point apart and the user score for Infamous is actually higher than Sunset Overdrives.

To be honest, its Sony's fault Sunset Overdrive wasnt on the PS4. It would've sold much, much better. They fought them over the IP and lost a chance to let their fans play the game. Sony should've just allowed the game to be a third party title while enjoying the dollars they make back from publishing. Honestly, Xbox One gamers won out here because despite the ratings I found Sunset Overdrive to be much more interesting and fun.

Erm, I was being sarcastic. That's the thing that gets me with the complaining about remasters. Some people jump on the hate train for something that doesn't affect them or interest them. Then in another thread, they'll say "I'd buy 'X' game if it got remade for my new 'X' console".

I don't have a shortage of games to play at all, in fact I'm working through a game from my 2014 backlog, AC Unity, right now.

You and me both.  I bought Second Son and First Light hoping they would be awesome and..... I was disappointed.  I bought Sunset and was disappointed, only to discover that it was awesome.  InFamous was a game people wanted to be great but it really is quite hollow.

I understand now. Thanks for letting me know it was sarcasm. The digital games today is creating such a backlog for me as well.

No problem, I thought it seemed obvious to me, but now I think that some fanboys/trolls would post that seriously!

PS, PS2, Gameboy Advance, PS3, PSP, PS4, Xbox One

I am okay with future remasters if they do one of two things:

A) The porting is given to an outside or lesser developer so that development resources aren't wasted (and Sony's already delay-prone studios aren't delayed even further). The remaster should then be offered at a bargain price or come in an expansive collection. So, no more God of War III: Remasters, please. I honestly think Sony could offer some unique and fun "remaster collections" if they would just put PS Classics on PS4. I think it would be really neat and fun if you could could get Crash Bandicoot with your copy of the Nathan Drake Collection.

B) They offer a completely unique and different experience, either with a completely new control scheme or completely new game play, so Tearaway Unfolded and the new Ratchet and Clank are exceptional by my standards, especially since both are offered at a more budget price of 40 dollars.

As a side note: please put PS Classics on PS4 Sony, please.
